Construct an inclinometer
The inclinometer is constructed as shown. Height of rocket. Distance observer is from launch site The angle of inclination can be measured using a home made inclinometer

You will need:

Cotton thread;
Carboard role;
Protractor;
Plasticine;
Hot glue gun.

Construct the inclinometer as shown on the left. Glue the thread with the plasticine weight at the centre of the protractor so that it reads 90 degrees when horizontal.

 
When the inclinometer is held horizontal the thread should be at the 90 mark.
