Pulleys

On an old sailing ship, a pulley system was constructed as shown on the left. A young sailor volunteered to hoist cargo from the dock into the haul of the ship. The sailor joked of how he could lift 1,000 kg of cargo in one go simply by just hanging of the rope. Is this possible? What should the minimum weight of the sailor be?(assume no friction)

For every 2 metres the rope is pulled through, what height does the load rise off the ground?

What is the mechanical advantage of this pulley system?
