Paleontology

Forensic scientists make great Paleontologists. The skills required are identical for both disciplines. The ability to reconstruct the structure of an animal and explain its life style from pieces of bone is a difficult forensic skill to master. Below is a picture of a dinosaur that was unearthed in the late 1800's. Compare it to the skeletal remains of a modern day pigeon. Discuss the similarities and reconstruct what the dinosaur looked like and how it moved around and hunted its prey.
